The ORC Mediterranean Championship and the IMA Maxi European Championship have been confirmed, in the year of the 70th edition of the historic Regata dei Tre Golfi

Thanks to the confirmed support of internationally renowned sponsors such as Rolex and Loro Piana, the Tre Golfi Sailing Week 2025 begins its preparation journey by formalizing the new dates of the events and the renewal of the precious collaboration with the Municipality of Sorrento.

It will be an important year for one of the longest-running offshore races in the Mediterranean, the Regata dei Tre Golfi turns 70, and once again it will be preceded by the ORC Mediterranean Championship and followed by the highly sought-after Maxi European Championship, both in Sorrento from Thursday 8 to Thursday 22 May 2025.

A particularly popular edition of the Tre Golfi Sailing Week has recently concluded, which saw enthusiastic participation between Naples and Sorrento, the Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia officially announces the dates for the 2025 edition. The ORC Mediterranean Championship will be held in Sorrento from 8 to 10 May, the IMA Maxi European Championship from 19 to 22 May and in between, still a watershed and valid as an offshore race for both the ORC Mediterranean Championship and the IMA Maxi European Championship, the 70th edition of the Regata dei Tre Golfi, which will start from the Santa Lucia harbour, under the majestic Castel dell’Ovo, Friday 16 May at 5 pm. The event, confirmed in the splendid waters of the Sorrento coast, once again sees the fundamental collaboration of the Municipality of Sorrento, which will offer its iconic marina to welcome crews and boats from all over the world.

Mayor Massimo Coppola and the entire Council have in fact renewed their willingness to host the event, strengthening a historic bond that has seen the town become a point of reference for international sailing. “The Sorrento marina, already the scene of memorable landings of famous people and luxury yachts throughout history, is preparing to once again welcome the spectacular regattas of the Tre Golfi Sailing Week, an event that combines tradition and innovation”.

Roberto Mottola di Amato, president of the Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia, expressed his satisfaction with the confirmation of the program and location: “We are thrilled to be able to collaborate once again with the Municipality of Sorrento. The natural beauty, the international allure and the ideal sea and wind conditions make Sorrento the perfect place for an event of this magnitude. We are grateful to the IMA and ORC for their renewed trust and look forward to providing impeccable organisation for both competitions.”

The opening of registrations will be communicated as soon as possible, and the appointment is set for May 2025. The Tre Golfi Sailing Week promises to be an unmissable event, to be marked on the calendar for all sailing enthusiasts.
